Everyone on our team - Ali, Susan, Kim, Staley, Natalie, Lisa - loves to entertain. We see it as a form of self-expression; we like to think about how to create an environment that makes an occasion special, whether it’s 2 guests or 200. We think about how to word the invitation, who is coming, what they will see when they come through the door, how to create a welcoming and comfortable space, what music will be playing, what to serve and how to serve it, how to light a room so that everyone looks fabulous. 

Between the six of us we’ve entertained in dorm rooms, student apartments, townhomes, houses of all sizes, clubs, restaurants, bars, boats, marinas, ranches, parks, farms, villas and camp sites. We’ve had parties in New York, London, Los Angeles, DC, Miami, Austin, Berlin, Sun Valley, Brussels and Johannesburg, to name just a few.

VIABRAVA was created to bring art & nature-inspired items to the home, to evoke emotional connections to elements that enhance our surroundings, and bring a touch of luxury and beauty to elevate the entertaining experience. Founders Ali and Susan worked on the concept of VIABRAVA and the specific designs for months, from sketches to sourcing to final products. The designs were created intentionally, with color combinations and motifs to allow the host to mix and match. The motifs allow for negative space and a free-flowing, open, artistic, abstract interpretation of the natural world, rather than repetitive all-over prints commonly found in the marketplace.

Each design tells a story based on personal experience or emotion such as reliance, courage, love, belonging, togetherness, discovery, personal growth, or rising to a challenge.  Customers have told us how the stories touch upon aspects of their own lives.
